Located in an area of such natural beauty makes us very aware of the care we must take of our environment. It’s not just about buying green power, it’s about using less power, less resource and efficient methods.
This flows throughout the business from the re-use of an existing brown field asset, the use of high efficiency technology and engineering best practice to a policy of re-use and recycle.
Cooling Systems
Our primary cooling system is based on ’free cooling’ technologies, free air coolers are used along with our two 85m deep boreholes, that supply us with cool, filtered Sea Water.
For those rare hot days we also have chiller plant to provide conventional cooling.
Efficient Engineering
Within the data centre we completely isolate the hot and cold air flows, this along with inlet air temperatures of 24 deg C allow for significant improvements to cooling system efficiency.
